Welcome to Clitheroe St. James' Primary School

We thank you for your interest in our Outstanding Church School as awarded in our latest SIAMs inspection

Headteacher's Welcome

"Clitheroe St. James’ is a very special primary school!” Pupils, parents and staff always talk in glowing terms about our school where everyone values the care and love that they receive. We are a church school built on a Christian foundation.

Primary school forms a crucial part of our journey through life – it is during these formative years that we learn important basic skills, knowledge and attitudes that will equip us for our future. Therefore, we take educating our pupils very seriously. We provide them with the very best opportunities to learn and grow.

Our vision is encapsulated in the word BOLD. We want children to Believe in themselves, to be Open to new ways of doing things and to others, to Love learning and each other and to be Determined to achieve their very best.

We are extremely fortunate to have a well-equipped school nestling in beautiful surroundings whilst being a convenient location. The school benefits from a mixture of both modern, purpose-built facilities and older buildings full of character. We also benefit from the very close links we have with St James’ Church.

Tours are available all year round for parents of prospective reception children and those that would like their children to join our school. Please contact the office.
